Meet GOLDRUSH

Goldrush is a Fitchburg MA based country/oldies/classic rock band that has been active on the local music scene since 1988. The core of the band includes Dave Malouin on lead vocals, electric / acoustic guitar, and fiddle and Laraine Roze on lead and harmony vocals. Surrounding them from Leominster MA, is Tom Cornaccia who keeps it all together never missing a beat; from Milford, MA, is Jim Altieri on Bass guitar and lead vocals; and from Medfield MA, Kevin Shiels is on piano / keyboards/ and vocals.

Some History

For those of you who have seen us, you know that our song list is quite dynamic. Over the years, we've discovered that the strength of the band is in the versatility of our presentation. This is further evidenced by checking our schedule, where you'll find that we are regulars a club "Kasbar" in Worcester, and several other locations where we play strictly Rock and Roll. This diverse background in musical styles, allows us to play the crowd and switch from traditional country classics to hard driving rock or vice versa when the situation calls. Our performance history runs the gamut of local venues and events. Some of our higher visibility performances include several gigs for the old "WKLB" at both the Roxy and Avalons in Boston MA. In addition to our regular club gigs, summers have been filled with outdoor events at places like Indian Ranch; the Hampton Beach Half Shell; the Massachusetts endowment for the arts town concert series; local fairs festivals fiddle contests and a ton of back yard parties. Over the years we have been honored to open up for such acts as Charlie Daniels, Diamond Rio, Phil Vasser, Robert Ellis Oral and more recently, the Beatles tribute band 1964.

Hello folks, this is Dave and we thank you for visiting the site. You'll notice that I have included a brief history of the band, and information on our members with bios to come soon. I'd like to take a moment here to welcome the newer members of the band, my sister Laurie who has given us a "shot in the arm" of new music, talent and fun... as well as Kevin on the Keys and the other guitarists that we use on ocassion, including Scott Bedard, Rich Thorpe, and Kerry Anderson. I'd also like to make special mention of our fabulous Line Dancer group, that I fondly refer to as "Alices Dancers"... Thank you guys so very much for your love of music, dancing, and for supporting what we do by showing up at our gigs.... We love you all..!!!
